burn after reading - first of all, you have to know what you are getting into when you choose to watch a movie by joel and ethan cohen. if you are not sure, do a little research… anyway this was a typical cohen brothers movie and if you sat all the way through it, the second to the last line uttered by j.k. simmons made the whole thing worthwhile. it’s not the big lebowski by any means, but i liked it.
march 26
wall e – i don’t think kids would get this and i also don’t think it was colorful enough or action packed enough to hold their attention ~ but he was such a dork that i loved it, it was cute, laugh out loud funny
march 22
amelie – watched it again, loved it again.
charlie wilson’s war – as that little dude on “laugh in” used to say, very interesting.

tropic thunder - loved it loved it loved it. laugh out loud funny. lots of cameos. definitely NOT a chick flick. it was great. [and not just because i have a thing for RDJ].
grace is gone - heart wrenching, but not really a tear jerker, it’s just life.
nov 29
honey dripper - absolutely great!
death proof- quentin tarentino, outrageous, weird, um bloody, did remind me of the grindhouse movies, but it wasn’t worth the time.
nov 3
the outsiders – the complete novel made in 1983, from the book of the same name, this is the director’s cut with added scenes and a new soundtrack. the additions just made it better…
nov 2
rosemary’s baby have seen this about every 10 years since it came out in 1968, the conspiracy was much more obvious this viewing…. creepy. be sure you get the original, uncut version.
kiss of the spider woman saw it in the theater when it originally came out, the acting is outstanding, a movie within a movie.
american pie had never seen it, raunchy, but it wasn’t porky’s…..
iron man great marvil comic movie…. good special effects and RDJ is hot! [no i am not obsessed!]
then she found me indie film written, directed and staring helen hunt. makes you cry, makes you smile.

dexter, season 2 he is still one sick puppy and i cannot wait for the next disc from netflix!
sept 26
sex and the city – the movie loved it! it’s a chick flick, you need at least one tissue. if you plan on seeing it, don’t discuss it, someone will ruin it!
sept 12 ~ i actually went to a movie theater for this one!
the women the camera angles were outstanding, lots of cameos, don’t take a guy to this, he won’t get it at all, it’s a chick flick for chicks.
sept 1
smart people really intelligent people, with really stupid emotional development. [ellen page and thomas hayden church, outstanding as usual]
Animal House i had never seen the ‘uncut’ version… still. even with the uncut part, most of the funniest scenes had to do with john bilushi’s face.
Away from Her such a love story, so sad, cried for a full 10 mins after it was over, i give it a rough paper towel [i was too caught up to go get a kleenex]….
oh boy, oh boy….!!! releasing Dec 19 Opus: the Last Christmas….
Formula 51 ~ i will admit that samuel l. jackson looked smokin’ in a kilt, but i ‘hated it’ [snap]
Dear Frankie ~ a scottish mother, her deaf son, a gorgeous scotsman, i blubbered through the whole thing [i would give it a five kleenexer]
installment 4 ~
The Savages - liked it for the most part, but it had some family interaction that was not easy to watch
Delirious -Steve Buscemi is a great actor, don’t know exactly what’s up near the end
installment three ~ stuff i just recommended to [a guy]
The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada
LA Confidential
The Usual Suspects
Walk the Line
Clay Pigeons
Ghost Rider
Sin City
installment two ~ it’s a short one
Fool’s Gold - I loved it! and not only because Matthew McConaughey is in various degrees of undress
installment one ~ in no particular order
27 Dresses – like You’ve Got Mail, only lame
The Bucket List- keeps you guessing, two old farts out on the town, acting was, well it is jack nickelson and morgan freeman
juno – sweet, sad, funny, pretty much great
Starting Out in the Evening – one of those relationship movies, with a few uncomfortable minutes…
Short Cuts- oximoron, three hours and 15 minutes i will never get back.
I am Legend - creeped me out so bad i had to watch half of The Big Lebowski before i went to bed
PS I Love You - a one kleenexer [although depending on your mood this may be understated]
I’ll Be There- liked it, but i have a thing for craig ferguson
Margo at the Wedding – hated it even though i have a thing for jack black
3:10 to Yuma- one bloody som’bitch!
Bourne Ultimatum – great, all three were great
Things We Lost in the Fire – relationship movie, gritty, outstanding acting
Waitress – absolutely wonderful, such a horrible loss to the world was the death of Adrienne Shelly [if you don't believe in capitol punishment stop reading here] i hope they fry the sonofabitch who killed her!
Dexter(Showtime) – dexter is one sick puppy
27 Dresses OK, though for similar reasons that you like Fools Gold.
I find when I rewatch “The Usual Suspects” I get very angry that it takes so long to get to the end (given I am watching on regular TV where a 2-hour move goes 3+ hours). By the last 20 mins I just want to see Spacey walk normal and get the hell out. Also, have you ever tried to explain that movie. I tried with my wife, total failure.
You went off the map for the latest two installments though. Haven’t watched those ones.
well! don’t watch formula 51… trust me.
